DTC B14F7-87: Communication Error Between Vehicle Control Module (VCM) And 360°View Monitor Control Module/Parking Assist Unit (Optical)

B14F7: 87 (VCM) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Communication error between vehicle control module (VCM) and 360°view monitor control module/parking assist unit (optical)
Detection condition
  • The vehicle control module (VCM) detects that the 360°view monitor control module/parking assist unit (optical) received a communication error with the vehicle control module (VCM) while the vehicle is being driven.
Fail-safe (See DTC TABLE [VCM] .)
Possible cause
  1. Internal malfunction related DTCs are stored in the following modules.
  2. DTCs are stored in the 360°view monitor control module/parking assist unit (optical). (See DTC TABLE [VMC] .)
  3. DTCs other than B14F7: 87 are stored in the vehicle control module (VCM). (See DTC TABLE [VCM] .)
  4. 360°view monitor control module/parking assist unit (optical) malfunction (Refer to applicable 360DEGREES VIEW MONITOR CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in the service information.)
  5. Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (built into body control module (BCM)) (Refer to applicable BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
