DTC C0061-54: Acceleration Sensor Initial Position Learning Not Completed [Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) Control Module]

C0061: 54 (ALH/AFS/ALV) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Acceleration sensor initial position learning not completed
Detection condition
  • The auto leveling control module/adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module/adaptive LED headlights control module detects that the acceleration sensor initial position learning is not completed.
Fail-safe
  • The headlight leveling actuator is stopped at the position when the malfunction is determined.
  • Control of glare-free high beam is continued. (with adaptive LED headlights)
  • Control of highway mode is stopped. (with adaptive LED headlights)
Possible cause
  1. Acceleration sensor initial position learning is not completed. (See HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM INITIALIZATION .) [LIGHTING SYSTEMS]
  2. Auto leveling control module/adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module/adaptive LED headlights control module malfunction (Refer to applicable ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
