DTC U2501-86: Error Signal Received From Vehicle Control Module (VCM) [Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) Control Module]

U2501: 86 (ALH/AFS/ALV) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Error signal received from vehicle control module (VCM)
Detection condition
  • The adaptive LED headlights control module received error signal from the vehicle control module (VCM).
Fail-safe
  • Control of the headlight auto leveling system is continued.
  • Turn off adaptive LED headlights.
  • Set wide-range low beam as basic light distribution.
Possible cause
  1. DTCs are stored in the vehicle control module (VCM). (See DTC TABLE [VCM] .)
  2. Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in the service information.)
  3. Adaptive LED headlights control module malfunction (Refer to applicable ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
