Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the sensor cover. (See SENSOR COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect the auto-dimming rearview mirror connector.

  4. Remove the wiring harness clips.
    CAUTION:
    • When detaching the auto-dimming rearview mirror from the mirror base, the auto-dimming rearview mirror could fall off and be damaged. When removing the auto-dimming rearview mirror, perform the work while holding the mirror by hand.
  5. Move the auto-dimming rearview mirror in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure below and detach the auto-dimming rearview mirror from the mirror base.

  6. Remove the auto-dimming rearview mirror. (See AUTO-DIMMING REARVIEW MIRROR INSTALLATION NOTE .)
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
