PCM Removal/Installation: Notes
CAUTION:
- If parts are replaced, perform the configuration to assure that the system operates correctly.
- When replacing the PCM, perform the configuration using the M-MDS. (Refer to [ configuration] in the appropriate troubleshooting information )
- Open the capsule cover. (See CAPSULE COVER OPEN/CLOSE [H3T] .)
- Remove the cowl grille cover component (RH). (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the air cleaner component. (See ENGINE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [H3T] .)
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Step Part name 1 PCM connector
(See PCM CONNECTOR CONNECTION NOTE )- 2 Nut 9.5 N.m {95 kgf.cm, 82 in.lbf} 3 PCM component - - Remove in the order indicated in the table.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Step Part name 1 Nut 9.5 N.m {95 kgf.cm, 82 in.lbf} 2 PCM - - Install in the reverse order of removal.
- If the PCM is replaced, perform the configuration using the M-MDS. (Refer to [ configuration] in the appropriate troubleshooting information ).
- Perform the immobilizer system-related part programming. (See IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-RELATED PARTS PROGRAMMING [L.H.D.] .)
- If the configuration is performed using the As-Built data, write the coupling component characteristic value. (Refer to [ COUPLING COMPONENT CALIBRATION DATA WRITING] in the appropriate troubleshooting information )
- Using the M-MDS, perform a DTC inspection. (Refer to DTC INSPECTION in the appropriate troubleshooting information )
