Steering Wheel Cover Removal/Installation: Notes

- Remove the cover assembly. (right side) (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the driver side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL .) (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the steering shift switch. (With steering shift switch) (See STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PM8AX-EC] .) (See STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MM8AX-EC] .)
- Remove using the procedure shown in the figure below.CAUTION:
- Do not remove the steering wheel using a hammer so as to prevent damaging the steering column.
NOTE:- Straighten the steering wheel.
