WARNING:
- After replacement, confirm that the points shown in the figure are parallel with the vehicle on the ground (same for the right side).
- Cracks may occur in the boot of the outer ball joint. Install the outer ball joint in the correct position.
- If the mounting position is not suitable, rotate the outer ball joint and adjust it to the proper position.
NOTE:
- After installation, the wheel alignment shall be checked and adjusted if necessary.
- Remove the wheel and tire. (front) (See WHEEL AND TIRE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the snap pin. (See STEERING GEAR AND LINKAGE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove using the procedure shown in the figure.
- The figure shows the left side (same as right side).

- Perform the wheel alignment pre-inspection. (See WHEEL ALIGNMENT PRE-INSPECTION .)
