Tie-Rod End Replacement: Notes

WARNING:

After replacement, confirm that the points shown in the figure are parallel with the vehicle on the ground (same for the right side).

Cracks may occur in the boot of the outer ball joint. Install the outer ball joint in the correct position.
If the mounting position is not suitable, rotate the outer ball joint and adjust it to the proper position.

NOTE:

After installation, the wheel alignment shall be checked and adjusted if necessary.

Remove using the procedure shown in the figure.

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Install in the reverse order of removal.
Perform the wheel alignment pre-inspection. (See WHEEL ALIGNMENT PRE-INSPECTION .)
Perform the front wheel alignment. (See FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT .)
