Knock Sensor (KS) Removal/Installation: Notes

Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Remove the following parts:
1. Seal cover (See SEAL COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
2. Front suspension tower bar (Vehicles with front suspension tower bar) (See FRONT SUSPENSION TOWER BAR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Intake manifold (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
Disconnect the KS connector.
Remove the bolt.

Remove the KS. (See KS Installation Note .)
Install in the reverse order of removal.
