SERVICE INFORMATION

To assure proper A/C operation for vehicles equipped with rear A/C units, the rear and front modules must be compatible. The table below contains A/C pushbutton module part numbers and related software version information. Please refer to the table when replacing either the front or rear module. In cases where compatible front or rear units are no longer available, both rear and front modules must be replaced.

Software version information as displayed on the Hand-Held Tester (HHT) is included in the table. This enables software version/date correlation with the pushbutton display information.

Accessing production information about the A/C can be done by using the A/C on-board diagnostics sensor values readout mode. To enter this mode, turn the ignition switch on, press "AUTO", make sure that both temperature wheels are set in the white zone and then hold the "REST" button for 5-10 seconds. Press the "AUTO" button until test step 9 is displayed in the left LCD window. The manufacturer code will be displayed in the right side LCD window. To find out if the pushbutton module is for a vehicle with active charcoal filter, press "AUTO" until test step 16 is displayed in the left LCD window. If the pushbutton module is equipped for a vehicle with active charcoal filter, "A" will be displayed in the right LCD window, if not, "O" will be displayed in the right LCD window.

Production information may also be accessed using the HHT's "Control module version feature. To access the "Control module version", retrieve the Functions menu and select "Control module version".
