System Diagnostics

The EDS control unit detects and stores system malfunctions. Temporary malfunctions are stored if duration is longer than 4 seconds. Sensor malfunctions are stored (except for engine speed sensor). Short circuits in actuators and their input wiring are also stored. Individual malfunction codes can be read using an impulse counter connected to the diagnostic connector located in right rear corner of engine compartment.
