SERVICE INFORMATION

As of the chassis end numbers listed below, a modified roll bar control module (N53) was installed in production.

The revised control module allows a crash-deployed roll bar to be retracted using the roll bar switch (S83) only if the rear axle switches (S83/2, S83/3) have been in the "Function" position for more than five seconds and closed (rear springs not fully extended).

In addition, the new control modules now contain "mercury-free" level and acceleration sensors.

When disposing of the previous version control modules (part no. 124 820 38 26 and 003 820 68 10) containing mercury sensors, adhere to all state, county and local hazardous waste disposal regulations and guidelines.
