Intake Air Temperature Sensor

Intake air temperature sensor reads intake air temperature and converts temperature reading to a voltage signal. Intake air temperature sensor is a Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) type sensor. As sensor temperature increases, resistance decreases. The engine control module uses intake air temperature to control fuel injection during warm-up enrichment, adjusting ignition timing to compensate for intake air temperature, and charcoal canister purge.
