Fuel temperature sensor location Integrated into the IFI [ERE] electrohydraulic shutoff actuator Y1/1
Fuel temperature sensor task To measure fuel temperature and calculate fuel density and to supply signals to the IFI [ERE] control module (N3/7).
To deliver substitute signals in case the coolant temperature sensor fails (B11/4)

Fuel temperature sensor function The NTC resistor provided in the fuel temperature sensor (Y1/1b1) changes its electrical resistance in proportion to fuel temperature.
NTC stands for negative temperature coefficient, which means that electrical resistance decreases as temperature increases

    Example:
    Fuel temperature resistance
    20°C approx. 2500 Ω
    40°C approx. 1170 Ω
