Opening Trunk Lid With Remote Transmitter (Vehicles With Remote Trunk Release)

Ensure trunk lid key slot is not in 90 degree position (key can be removed). Lock vehicle using remote transmitter. Point remote transmitter toward one of the receivers and press transmitter button twice within .8 second. Trunk lid should open. On models with trunk lid handle, handle should extend. If any of these conditions are not met, perform TESTS 1, 2, 7, 8, 10, 22, 27, 28, TEST 35 through TEST 37, and TEST 39 under SYSTEM TESTS . Check for trunk lid lock mechanical fault.
