Test 29: RCL Control Module Output Activation (SL320 & SL500)

  1. Connect adapter harness and breakout box to RCL control module. Ensure all doors are closed and unlocked. Measure voltage between terminals No. 9 and 23 at breakout box. Voltage should be less than one volt.
  2. Lock vehicle by pointing remote transmitter at any vehicle receiver and depressing transmitter button. Ensure vehicle locks. Battery voltage should exist for about .6 second and Red indicator lights should blink. If voltage is as specified and Red indicator lights blink, output activation is okay at this time. If voltage is not as specified and Red indicator lights do not blink, go to next step.
  3. Repair wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Perform TEST 3 through TEST 5, TEST 7 through TEST 9, and TEST 11 through TEST 13 under SYSTEM TESTS. Check DAS control module, RCL control module and central locking system vacuum supply pump. Check convertible top control module and anti-theft control module
