SERVICE INFORMATION
8/97-5 GROUP 54 - ALL MODEL YEAR 98 VEHICLES: Version coding of instrument clusters with late version software is not possible with the current HHT module. It was anticipated that we would establish the capability with VDO North America to version code these clusters in the U.S.; however, it has proven not to be practical in time to help with this problem. The next version HHT module will rectify this problem. During the interim, the Technical Specialists have a preliminary German version module that can be used to version code these clusters. Please continue to order MY 98 instrument clusters through normal procedures and contact your respective Technical Coordinator or Technical Specialist to make arrangements to have the cluster version coded. Please use Damage Code 52288 50.
