MODEL 129,140 as of 1.1.98,202, 208, 210.2, 210.0 as of 1.1.98 with CODE (815) Dynamic APS
Initial operation
After installation of a new navigation processor (A2/30) it is necessary to code the system. The coding can be accomplished with the hand-held tester (HHT). The following must be made when operated for the first time:
Vehicle data version coding
- Vehicle model
- Tire condition (new or used tires)
- CD changer
- Sound system
- Telematic (dynamic guidance)
Component version coding
Location
The location can be entered on the radio and navigation operating unit (A2/29) or automatically by means of GPS location finding (takes 2 - 20 min.).
The gyrosensor
replaces the electronic compass (B26)
on the first and second generation APS systems, therefore calibration of the compass is no longer required.
The gyrosensor is integrated into the navigation processor (A2/30).
The APS can be used only after it has been started up properly first.
