When a valid infrared remote control signal is received the vehicle is "unlocked" if it was previously in the "locked" state. The confirmation "unlocked" is accomplished via the "green" confirmation lamp in the receiver module as well as via the turn signal system.
If the infrared remote control is actuated continuously on models 129/140/202/210 the emergency opening function for the side windows is started when the convenience feature was used for closing immediately previously. The "green" confirmation lamp comes on as long as the remote control is actuated.
When the vehicle is opened manually via the lock cylinders in one of the front doors or the trunk, the vehicle unlocking operation or emergency opening function is also actuated.
The "green" confirmation lamp and turn signals are not actuated.
Special functions
If a key is inserted in the ignition/starter switch (S2/1), the remote control does not function:
- when the ignition is ON
- for approx. 2 sec. after switching OFF the ignition
