  Injection timing device location The injection timing device (40) is mounted on the front of the IFI [ERE] inline injection pump camshaft and is driven by the engine timing chain via the sprocket.  
  Injection timing device task At engine speeds of 1500 rpm and higher, start of delivery is moved in the "ADVANCE" direction in order to compensate for ignition lag. The advance angle is at most 23° crank angle (CKA [KW])
