Test 27: CAN "H" Data Line Short To CAN "L" Data Line

Using Adapter Cable (202 589 15 63 00), connect Breakout Box (124 589 00 21 00) to remote control locking control module. See Figure. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect RCL control module from breakout box, leaving RCL control module harness connector attached to breakout box. Disconnect Engine Control Module (ECM) harness connector. Disconnect Drive Authorization System (DAS) control module (if equipped). Measure resistance between terminals No. 13 and 14 at breakout box. If 20,000 ohms or greater exists, CAN data lines are not shorted together. If less than 20,000 ohms exists, repair short between CAN data lines. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
