Version Coding
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Mercedes-Benz C43, 2000 Mercedes-Benz C280, 1999 Mercedes-Benz C43, and 1999 Mercedes-Benz C280. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Version coding allows different settings to be programmed within A/C push button control module. Engine version is automatically transferred from the instrument cluster to the A/C push button control module by the serial interface (K1). All other version coding is done using Hand-Held Tester (HHT). When performing version coding follow HHT screen prompts and select desired settings. See A/C PUSH BUTTON CONTROL MODULE VERSION CODING table.
