Test 23: Anti-Tow Protection Sensor

  1. Connect Hand-Held Tester (HHT) to diagnostic link connector. Monitor anti-tow sensor status. Wait 15 seconds. Lift vehicle using jack. ANTI-TOW ON should be displayed. Go to next step.
  2. With anti-tow sensor activated, measure voltage between terminals No. 1 and 5 at anti-tow sensor. Battery voltage should be indicated. If battery voltage is not indicated, check wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  3. Disconnect anti-tow sensor connector and connect fused jumper wire between terminals No. 1 and 5. Alarm will be activated. If alarm does not activate, check wiring and anti-theft control module. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If alarm is activated, replace anti-tow sensor.
