SERVICE INFORMATION

09/00-2 GROUP 91 - Model 170, REPLACING SRS SIDEBAG SENSOR MODULE: Sidebag sensors manufactured by either Bosch or Temic are installed in production on model 170 vehicles. However, only sensors manufactured by Bosch are available as spare parts. Therefore, when replacing a sidebag sensor manufactured by Temic, the other sidebag sensor as well as the SRS control module must also be replaced. The Bosch sensor, 001 820 07 26, has a 2-pole electrical connector, while the Temic sensor, 000 820 99 26, has a 3-pole electrical connector. Please note that no modifications to wiring are necessary.
