53/00-2 GROUP 07 - All MY 01, PASSENGER CARS, ME (engine management) VERSION CODE: When an attempt is made to read the version code on a M Y 2001 car, Star Diagnosis version release 08/00 may not be able to read the version code which has been entered by computer at the end of the assembly lines.

The code is actually in the ME, but the present Star Diagnosis software (08/00) can not read this code and therefore shows a "-----" instead of the version code.

If the version code needs to be confirmed, or for some reason you are not sure if the right code is in the ME, please clear the existing code and recode the respective version code with Star Diagnosis release version 08/00.
