SERVICE INFORMATION
08/01-1 RECALLS AND SERVICE CAMPAIGNS: WHEN REPAIRING ANY VEHICLE, ALWAYS CHECK THE VEHICLE MASTER INQUIRY FOR OPEN CAMPAIGNS.
08/01-2 GROUP 27 - ALL MODELS EQUIPPED WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION 722.6: Please note that DTC 116 stored in the EGS control module (Component Y3/6s1 starter lockout or component Y3/6b1 ATF temperature sensor is sporadically faulty or both) is meaningless and can be ignored and erased unless there is a customer complaint of delayed starter engagement. When there is no customer complaint of delayed starter engagement, the fault memory can be erased with no further action necessary. In cases of customer complaints involving delayed starter engagement, the conductor plate (part no. 140 270 05 61) should be replaced (it is not necessary to replace the entire valve body) and the fault memory erased. Remember: When servicing all 722.6 transmissions, the only correct ATF (automatic transmission fluid) is Mercedes-Benz part no. 001 989 21 03 10.
