Fault Codes B1213 / B1214 Present in Lower Control Field Control Module
SERVICE INFORMATION
If you encounter fault codes B1213 and/or B1214 are stored in the Lower Control Field Control Module (N72) on Model Year 2002 Model 163 vehicles, check if the vehicle is equipped with power front seats with memory (code 241/242 for left/right seats). The seat memory option is easily identified by the presence of a green memory button on the seat switch.
If the vehicle does not have the memory option, ignore the fault codes.
If the vehicle does have the memory option, determine the cause of the fault code(s) and correct.
- B1213 - Exterior rear view mirrors left: The voltage supply of the setting potentiometer is faulty.
- B1214 - Exterior rear view mirrors right: The voltage supply of the setting potentiometer is faulty.
