Regulation of automatic air conditioning, function - GF83.40-P-2004Q
MODEL 209.3 /4 except CODE (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning
Function
All the control units which fulfill a task in the control of the automatic air conditioning are interconnected via the CAN B (CAN B).
The CAN B (CAN B) is a bidirectional bus, i.e. each connected control unit is capable of sending and receiving information. This in turn makes it possible to incorporate additional climate relevant influences, in order to improve the regulation quality and to lower power consumption.
The fresh air/air recirculation flaps actuator motor (M2/5), the left blend air flap actuator motor (M2/6), the right blend air flap actuator motor (M2/7), the left and right footwell flaps actuator motor (M2/15), the left and right defroster flaps actuator motor (M2/16), the fresh air flaps actuator motor (M2/21) for the air distribution and the blower motor (A32m1) for the air volume are controlled by the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) via the A/C bus (KB).
On model 209.4, the blower actuation is increased linearly during driving with open soft top in automatic mode depending on the speed up to a factor of 1.3 at 100 km/h.
The following is available for the electronic control and regulation of interior temperature, air quantity and air distribution ducts:
- Interior temperature via the in-car temperature sensor (N22/b1) in the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) and on vehicles as of 1.6.05 additionally via the in-car temperature sensor (N70b1) in the overhead control panel control unit (N70)
- Position of the windows via the left front power window motor (M10/3), the right front power window motor (M10/4), the left rear power window motor (M10/5) and the right rear power window motor (M10/6)
- Air humidity through the air humidity sensor (B31/2) (up to 28.6.06)
- On-board power supply via the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73)
- Outside temperature via the outside temperature display temperature sensor (B14)
- Ground speed via the instrument cluster (A1)
- Pressure and temperature of the refrigerant over the pressure and refrigerant temperature sensor (B12/2).
- Temperature on the evaporator via the evaporator temperature sensor (B10/6)
- Soft top status via the power soft top control unit (N52) (on model 209.4)
