CDI coasting mode, function - GF07.16-P-3008IC
ENGINE 647.961 in MODEL 211
ENGINE 648.960 in MODEL 220
ENGINE 648.961 in MODEL 211
The braking effect of the engine in the overrun mode is increased and the fuel consumption is reduced by means of the deceleration fuel shutoff.
In coasting mode (accelerator pedal not depressed), the CDI control unit switches off the fuel injectors according to the coolant temperature and speed and reduces the rail pressure by closing the quantity control valve and opening the pressure regulator valve, where:
- Engine speed > 1600 rpm
- Vehicle is not cruise control mode
The fuel injectors are switched back on and the rail pressure increases, where:
- Accelerator pedal is operated (detection on the basis of the actual value signal from the accelerator pedal sensor)
