COMPLAINT
LED display in the climate system control module appears too dim or difficult to read.
CAUSE
Due to certain light conditions and the effect they have on the rain/light sensor (B38/2).
REMEDY
Do not replace any parts for this condition.
- Bright sunlight from behind the vehicle, the sensor switches to "Night".
- A high proportion of diffused light, the sensor switches to "Night".
- Rapid change in light levels, i.e. driving in and out of a tunnel, the light sensor takes time to switch between modes.
NOTE:
The setting of the dimmer function on the instrument cluster also influences the display of the climate control push button unit when the "Night" setting is active. The display may be more difficult to read in the daytime with certain lighting conditions described above when in "Night" mode.
