Fuel pump control unit, task The fuel pump control unit actuates the fuel pump (M3).
Fuel pump control unit, design The fuel pump control unit consists of control electronics and an integral wiring harness housed in a metal housing. The wiring harness leads to the fuel pressure sensor (B4/7), to the fuel pump and to an appropriate relay module.
Fuel pump control unit, function The fuel pump control unit processes the signal from the fuel pressure sensor and appropriately actuates the fuel pump by means of a PWM signal (pulse width modulated signal). This means that the required fuel system pressure of about 5.0 bar can be maintained for all operating conditions.
