Tire Pressure Monitor System Reactivation
CAUTION:
The warning system can only operate in a reliable manner if correct tire pressures are set. If an incorrect tire inflation pressure is set, the system will monitor the pressure according to the incorrect value.
NOTE:
Whenever tires or wheels are changed or tire pressure has been adjusted, the TPM system must be reactivated before it can work.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
- Ensure inflation pressure of all 4 tires is as specified on tire placard (located on inside of fuel filler flap).
- Turn ignition switch to ON position (engine may be on or off).
- Press menu select button (located on left side of multifunction steering wheel) until the standard display menu appears in multifunction display on instrument cluster. In some models, the standard menu will appear when the ignition is switched on.
- Scroll using the down button (located on left side of multifunction steering wheel) until TPM system menu is displayed. See Fig 1.
- Press reset button on left side of instrument cluster. See Fig 2. Message should appear in multifunction display as shown. See Fig 3.
- Using "+" button (located on right side of multifunction steering wheel), select "YES". The multifunction display will now display a message confirming TPM system is activated. If a message appears requesting reactivation, perform procedure again from beginning.
- Once engine is running, a message will be displayed indicating system will be reactivated after a driving cycle of about 10 minutes. If system reactivation was performed with engine running, this system message is set after a time delay of about 30 seconds. Until initialization sequence is complete, pressure values will not be shown in TPM system menu (they will appear as "---").
NOTE:
In the following step, pressing any other button other than the "+" button will terminate activation process.
