Resetting of NECK-PRO head restraints, function - GF91.16-P-2006PM
Model 203.0/ 2/ 7
If during an accident the NECK-PRO head restraints were triggered, the NECK-PRO head restraints on the driver and front passenger seats can be reset. To do this, the locking lever is pressed down until it is held by the driver NECK-PRO head restraint solenoid (Y24/12) or the front passenger NECK-PRO head restraint solenoid (Y24/13) (locking lever latches into place). The coil spring on the locking lever is then tensioned again. As soon as the locking lever is put back into the initial position in this way, the impact plate (3) can be pressed back into its initial position until it is heard to latch in place.
The locking lever can be moved downward using a resetting tool, which is supplied with the vehicle. Using the resetting tool, the triggered head restraints can therefore be reset mechanically into the initial position.
