Location

The transmission output shaft rpm sensor (Y3/7n1) is integrated into the substrate of the electric FTC control module (Y3/7). In the installed state it is carried by the transmission housing (1) and lies directly below the 5th gear wheel drive gear (5a), which is permanently connected with the input shaft (5).

Task

The signals from the transmission output shaft rpm sensor (Y3/7n1) are received and transformed in the front-wheel-drive transmission control (FTC) control module (Y3/7n2).

Function

The transmission output shaft rpm sensor (Y3/7n1) is a Hall sensor which senses the speed of the 5th gear wheel drive gear (5a). Per tooth of the rotating 5th gear wheel drive gear (5a) it transmits one pulse to the front-wheel-drive transmission control (FTC) control module (Y3/7n2).
