Gear recognition module, location The transmission range recognition module (A61) is located in the floor shift.
Gear recognition module, task To detect the respective position of the selector lever and program selector switch as well as convey the touch shifts carried out to the front wheel drive transmission control (FGS) control unit (Y3/7n2) and the instrument cluster (A1).
Gear recognition module, design The gear recognition module (A61) consists of a printed circuit board with 6 optoelectronic switches. 3 switches for gear recognition, 2 switches for determining the touch shifts carried out and 1 switch for recognizing the position of the program selector switch.
Gear recognition module, function In the switches a photoelectric barrier is closed or penetrated when operated. The gear recognition module (A61) converts these pulses and conveys them to the instrument cluster (A1) and front wheel drive transmission control (FGS) control unit (Y3/7n2).
