Function
The steering column is manually adjustable in the longitudinal position and height via the steering column adjustment switch on the steering column module.
The corresponding adjustment request is read in by the steering column module and passed on from the central gateway control unit on the interior CAN via the chassis CAN.
The front SAM control unit receives the adjustment request and actuates the steering column motors for adjusting the steering column accordingly.
