Correction programming, function - GF07.61-P-3031MIS
ENGINE 272.9 in MODEL 221.0 /1 as of model year 2009 / AEJ 08
ENGINE 273.9 in MODEL 216.3, 221.0 /1 as of model year 2009 / AEJ 08
Function requirements for correction programming, general points
- Circuit 15 ON (ignition ON)
- Circuit 87M ON (engine control ON)
Correction programming, general points
Different performance maps for the engine control can be stored and activated with correction programming in the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10).
Correction programming function sequence
Correction programming is carried out with "ignition ON" over the data link connector (X11/4) using the Diagnosis Assistance System (DAS).
The ME-SFI [ME] control unit is connected to the data link connector over the chassis CAN (CAN E) and diagnostic CAN (CAN D).
The following performance maps can be influenced (programming):
- Ignition maps for adaptation to different fuel grades (research octane number correction) (except code (494) USA version)
- Mixture maps for enrichment of the fuel/air mixture in different operating conditions (except code (494) USA version)
- Basic setting for idle speed
- Idle speed for engaged gear range
- Fault setting conditions for smooth running detection
- Temperature correction for switching the engine and air conditioning electric suction fan with integrated control (M4/7) on and off
