Modulating pressure in general 

The modulating pressure influences the level of the working pressure and, together with the shift pressure, determines the pressure regulated at the overlap regulating valve.

The modulating pressure is regulated using the control valve pressure applied to the control solenoid valve modulating pressure (Y3/6y1).

The level of modulating pressure is variable and depends on the engine load.
