Tire Pressure Monitor System Reactivation
CAUTION:
The warning system can only operate in a reliable manner if correct tire pressures are set. If an incorrect tire inflation pressure is set, the system will monitor the pressure according to the incorrect value. When the TPM system is activated, the tire pressures set by the driver are adopted by the tire pressure monitoring control unit as the new specified values.
NOTE:
TPMS activation is accomplished by using the multifunction display control buttons on the steering wheel.
- Switch ignition to ON.
- Use the multifunction display buttons (left side of steering wheel) to access the standard display (temperature and trip odometer).
- Use the up or down arrow multifunction display buttons to access the "Tire Pressure" menu. You will see a message that indicates that it is the TPMS that is being adjusted.
- Press the reset button. See Fig 1.
- You will see a message that asks that the adjustment be confirmed. Use the "+" button to select "YES".
- Press "OK". A comfirmation message will be displayed.
- After 10 minutes of driving, the current tire inflation pressure values are accepted as reference values.
