The function torque interface coordinates and prioritizes all engine torque requests from the vehicle systems. At the same time, the dynamics of the conversion for each requirement are established.

The engine torque is modified as follows:

IMPORTANT If one increases the injection quantities and at the same adjusts the ignition angle to "retarded", the engine torque initially remains unchanged. However there is the possibility to achieve subsequent rapid increase in the engine torque due to timing advance of the ignition angle (engine torque reserve).
