Function
The term shift-lock covers those functions which in addition to the parking brake are used to secure the vehicle to prevent it from rolling away.
This includes the parking lock interlock connecting the parking lock and brake pedal via control cables. The locks interact with each other.
The vehicle is secured mechanically by locking the parking lock gear on the output shaft.
