As of DVD 05/2013, it is possible to use the XENTRY kit to operate the steering column tube switch module (N80). To do so, the add-on "1305_13w26b_nasd" must be used. This is available online.
Initial startup can be done using the Compact3 and Compact4 diagnostic equipment.
Correctly ordering the steering column tube switch module (N80) ensures that the latest software is installed. Therefore, an initial startup of the steering column tube switch module (N80) using the XENTRY kit is not required. However, it is imperative to check that there are no faults logged in the fault memory.
No add-on is currently planned for DVD 3/2013.
With 7/2013 DVD, the fault is corrected predelivery and an add-on is no longer necessary.
That installed add-ons can be read out via a log file viewable following below steps.
Identifying Installed Add-Ons
- Open the Entry Explorer.
- Open the directory "Application Logs".
- Open the directory "AddOn".
- Open the file "Addon.txt".
