Remove/Install Wheel Sensor - Ar40.15-D-0080A

MODEL 906 with CODE (RY2) Tire pressure monitor for front and rear axle

REMOVING Removing     
1 Remove wheels   AR40.10-D-1100H 
2 Detach tires NOTES No forces should act on the TPM wheel sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) otherwise it will be damaged.  
3 Unscrew union nut (2) from valve (3)    
4 Detach TPM wheel sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) with valve (3)    
5 Unscrew valve (3) Only when reusing the TPM wheel sensor (A69/1 to A69/4).  
CLEAN Clean     
6 Clean the TPM wheel sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) Only when reusing the TPM wheel sensor (A69/1 to A69/4).
IMPORTANT Only remove dirt with a clean, lint-free cloth. Do not use compressed air, solvents or cleaners.
IMPORTANT The TPM wheel sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) can also be used again after the use of TIREFIT tire sealant.
 
7 Clean the disk wheel in the area of the valve bore    
INSTALLING Install     
8 Insert bolt (3a) into guide on TPM wheel sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) and screw on valve (3), tightening by hand only IMPORTANT Replace bolt (3a), valve (3) and union nut (2).
IMPORTANT On vehicles with tire pressure monitor: Only use plastic valve caps (risk of corrosion).
 
9 Insert valve (3) into valve bore in disk wheel    
10 Tighten union nut (2) NOTES Under no circumstances counterhold the valve (3) when tightening the union nut (2) otherwise the valve (3) will not be screwed on correctly and the TPM wheel sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) will be damaged while driving.
IMPORTANT A breakage washer in the union nut (2) ensures that the valve (3) is screwed onto the TPM wheel sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) first while tightening. After perceptible fracture of the breakage washer the valve (3) is then screwed on to the disk wheel.
 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA40.15-N-1001-01A 
11 Mount tire NOTES No forces should act on the TPM wheel sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) otherwise it will be damaged.  
12 Fit wheels   AR40.10-D-1100H 
13 Teach in new positions of wheel sensors using STAR DIAGNOSIS STAR DIAGNOSIS Compact diagnosis system for passenger cars
