Remove/Install Wheel Sensor - Ar40.15-D-0080AA

Model 906 

with code RY2 (Tyre pressure monitoring system) 

New sensor

REMOVING Remove     
1 Detach complete wheel Model 906
with code RY2 (Tyre pressure monitoring system) New sensor
AR40.10-D-1100H 
2 Detach tire NOTES Do not exert any force on the tire pressure sensor (7).
The tire pressure sensor (7) will be damaged otherwise.
AR40.10-S-1030S 
3 Unscrew union nut (2a, 2b) from valve stem (4)    
4 Detach tire pressure sensor (7) with valve stem (4)    
5 Unscrew valve protection cap (1) When reusing the tire pressure sensor (7).  
6 Remove sealing ring (5) When reusing the tire pressure sensor (7).  
7 Detach valve seat (6) When reusing the tire pressure sensor (7).  
8 Detach valve stem (4) from tire pressure sensor (7) When reusing the tire pressure sensor (7).  
CLEAN Clean     
9 Clean tire pressure sensor (7) When reusing the tire pressure sensor (7).
IMPORTANT The tire pressure sensor (7) cannot be used any more after using the TIREFIT tire repair kit.
IMPORTANT Only remove dirt with a clean, lint-free cloth. Do not use compressed air, solvents or cleaners.
 
10 Clean the disk wheel in the area of the valve bore    
INSTALLING Install     
11 Insert valve stem (4) into tire pressure sensor (7) IMPORTANT Replace valve stem (4).
IMPORTANT Ensure correct positioning of valve stem (4).
 
12 Mount valve seat (6) IMPORTANT The markings (arrows) on valve seat (6) and tire pressure sensor (7) must lie opposite each other.  
13 Slide on sealing ring (5) IMPORTANT Pay attention to installation position.  
14 Screw in valve element (3) into valve stem (4 TORQUE SPECIFICATION Valve element in valve stem *BA40.15-N-1002-01A 
15 Screw on valve protection cap (1)    
16 Insert valve stem (4) into valve hole    
17.1 Hold tire pressure sensor (7) and screw on union nut (2a) onto valve stem (4) Model 906
with code RL5 (Light-alloy wheels 6.5 J x 16)
New sensor Model 906
with code RL7 (Light alloy rims 6, 5 J x 17)
with code RY2 (Tyre pressure monitoring system) New sensor
NOTES Do not counterhold valve stem (4) when tightening the union nut (2a) in any case. Otherwise the valve stem (4) is not screwed on correctly and the tire pressure sensor (7) may get damaged when driving.
IMPORTANT Replace union nut (2a).
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Union nut to valve body
*BA40.15-N-1001-01A 
17.2 Hold tire pressure sensor (7) and screw on union nut (2b) onto valve stem (4) New sensorModel 906
with code RY2 (Tyre pressure monitoring system)
except code RL5 (Light-alloy wheels 6.5 J x 16)
except code RL7 (Light alloy rims 6, 5 J x 17) New sensor
NOTES Do not counterhold valve stem (4) when tightening the union nut (2b) in any case. Otherwise the valve stem (4) is not screwed on correctly and the tire pressure sensor (7) may get damaged when driving.
IMPORTANT Replace union nut (2b).
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Union nut to valve body
*BA40.15-N-1001-01A 
18 Mount tire NOTES The lever arm of mounting machine must lie 180° away from tire pressure sensor (7). The tire pressure sensor (7) will be damaged otherwise. AR40.10-S-1030S 
19 Install complete wheel Model 906
with code RY2 (Tyre pressure monitoring system)
