Emergency Default Mode, Function - GF27.60-D-3012H
Transmission 722.6 in MODEL 906.111/113/131/133/135/153/155/211/213/231/233/235/253/255/611/613/631/633/635/637/653/655/657/711/713/731/733/735
In order to ensure a safe driving state and to prevent damage to the automatic transmission, the ETC control unit (N15/3) switches to limp-home mode in the event of critical faults. A fault code assigned to the fault is stored in memory.
All solenoid valves and control solenoid valves are in a deenergized condition during limp-home mode.
Effect
- The gear last engaged remains engaged.
- The modulating pressure and shift pressure increase to the maximum value.
- The torque converter lockup clutch is switched off.
2nd gear is engaged in gear selector switch position "D" after engaging gear selector switch position "P". Reverse gear "R" is also available. As a result the vehicle can be brought to the nearest Mercedes-Benz service outlet.
The limp-home function remains active until the fault is rectified or the stored fault code is erased. Sporadic errors can be reset via "terminal 15 ON/OFF".
