COMPLAINT
The start/stop function is sometimes unavailable the first time the engine is started with the key.
Engine does not stop.
CAUSE
The power supply of the auxiliary oil pump (N89) may sometimes be absent, which can inhibit the stop function.
REMEDY
- Disconnect batter supply from vehicle
- Remove driver-side-SAM, Figure 1
- Unplug connector 2I and connector 11C from driver-side-SAM, see Figure 2
- In connector 2I, disconnect the contact at pin 10, see Figure 3
- Connect the disconnected line to connector 11C pin 6, see Figure 3
- Reassemble the vehicle in the reverse order and erase the fault memory
