Tire Pressure Monitor System Reactivation

NOTE: This manual reactivation procedure is provided in the event that automatic reactivation fails.
CAUTION: The warning system can only operate in a reliable manner if correct tire pressures are set. If an incorrect tire inflation pressure is set, the system will monitor the pressure according to the incorrect value.
NOTE: Tire pressure should only be adjusted on cold tires. Observe the recommended tire inflation pressure on the placard on the driver's door "B" pillar (some models may have supplemental inflation information on the fuel filler flap).
  1. On on-board computer go to SERVICE > TIRE PRESSURE.
  2. Swipe downwards on the Touch Control on the left-hand side of the steering wheel. The USE CURRENT PRESSURES AS NEW REFERENCE VALUES message is shown in the multifunction display.
  3. Press OK to confirm the new start. The TIRE PRESS. MONITOR RESTARTED message is shown in the multifunction display. Current warning messages are deleted and the yellow TPMS warning lamp goes out.
  4. After driving for a few minutes, the system checks whether the current tire pressures are within the specified range. The current tire pressures are then accepted as reference values and monitored.
