NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Read out variant coding with diagnostic system When replacing the CDI control unit (N3/9)  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2 Remove wheel housing lining in the right fender   AR88.10-P-1321GQC
3 Disconnect electrical connections on CDI control unit (N3/9)    
4 Remove screw/bolts (3) and take CDI control unit (N3/9) out of bracket    
5 Install in the reverse order    
6 Read in variant coding with diagnostic system When replacing the CDI control unit (N3/9)  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS   IMPORTANT Transfer the stored variant coding of the previously installed CDI control unit (N3/9) to the new CDI control unit (N3/9) using the diagnostic system. AD00.00-P-2000-04A
7 Start up CDI control unit (N3/9) using the diagnostic system When replacing the CDI control unit (N3/9)  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS   IMPORTANT The CDI control unit (N3/9) must be adjusted to the vehicle using the diagnostic system, in the menu item "Commissioning". AD00.00-P-2000-04A
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when ENGINE running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the ENGINE while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
8 Carry out an ENGINE test run
