Purpose And Scope

The purpose of this Recommended Practice (RP) is to lead third-party maintenance service providers through the process of selecting and implementing a standard repair time (SRT) guide for providing estimates on applicable repairs. It focuses on the processes that occur at the start of a repair event, and builds upon TMC Information Report IR 2011-01, Understanding Heavy-Duty Vehicle Standard Repair Time (SRT) Guides  - which provides equipment managers insight into how SRT guides are developed and used.
