Location

The accelerator pedal module control unit is integrated in the accelerator pedal module.

Task

The accelerator pedal module control unit has the task of providing the driver with haptic feedback on the position of the accelerator pedal. Depending on the driving mode, the pedal angle to be selected in order to facilitate the functions "Electric mode metering" and "Anticipatory electric gliding" is signaled to the driver.

Function

The accelerator pedal module control unit directly actuates the accelerator pedal module actuator motor. Via a linkage, this generates a low counterforce to the force of the driver on the accelerator pedal. Depending on the driving situation, this counterforce is perceived as a pressure point or a double impulse. The position of the accelerator pedal module actuator motor is monitored by the accelerator pedal module control unit.

IMPORTANT The accelerator pedal module consists of 2 modules (accelerator pedal module control unit and pedal angle sensor).
