| 1 | Empty the fuel tank (10). | AR47.10-P-4001MFD | |

| 3 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (1) from fuel pump (M3) and electrical connector (2) from left fuel tank fill level sensor (10) fuel display (B4/1). | ||
| 4 | Release and disconnect fuel line (3) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs. | Fig 2 | |
| 5 | Remove fuel line (3) from fuel tank (10). | ||
| 6 | Remove locking ring (4). | Fig 1 | |
| 7 | Lift upper section (5) and place to one side carefully. | Replace flange seal (6). |

| 8 | Release locking clip from fuel pump and fill level sensor housing (7) in fuel tank (10) by pulling upward (arrow A). | ||
| 9 | Carefully push fuel level sensor and fuel pump housing (7) in direction of arrow (arrow B) out of bracket (8) at base of fuel tank (10). Then remove together with the upper part (5). | ||
| 10 | Seal exposed opening with suitable means. | Ensure scrupulous cleanliness. The fuel system will otherwise be damaged. |

| 11 | Install in the reverse order. |
